It is but a short drive from Hanalei’s renowned beaches, famous cliffs, waterfalls, and mountains, all of which encircle Hanalei Bay. With Kilauea town nearby and the main city of Lihue 20 miles south, everything is within reach.

Getting There

By road:

Koolau Road connects directly to Kuhio Highway, the island’s main artery. From Lihue, follow Kuhio Highway north and turn right onto Koolau Road.

Airports:

Lihue airport 25-minutes; small private airport at Princeville.

Mainland Flights:

Daily non-stop flights from San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, and Phoenix. Mainland flights connecting through Honolulu offer additional air options. U.S. flights between Hawaii and the West Coast are approximately 5-hours.

Interisland Travel:

LIH (Lihue) to HON (Honolulu, Oahu) is a convenient 25-minute flight, with hourly departures throughout the day.
